Occupation Lists

By 11 July 2018August 19th, 2020No Comments

The Department of Jobs and Small Business regularly reviews the skilled migration occupation lists, upon which we rely for various visa programs, including Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) and Employer Nomination programs.

In the Department’s “Traffic Light Bulletin” of 31 May 2018, recommendations were made of proposed changes, and we were anticipating new occupation lists to be published on 1 July 2018.

However, the Department is still at the stage of analysing the submissions received, and “may update its proposed changes to the lists after taking into account stakeholder evidence and further analysis.”

The Department advises that recommendations will be made to Home Affairs and an announcement will be made in mid July 2018. We will provide an update as soon as the new lists are published.
