Next Round of Consultations on Occupations Lists

The next review of the Short Term and Medium to Long Term Occupations Lists – the STSOL and MLTSSL – is underway. This review is now conducted by the Department of Small Business and Jobs, and once completed, this Department makes recommendations to the Department of Home Affairs. The new lists will be released in July 2018, and as you are aware, these lists are crucial in terms of determining TSS visa eligibility, TSS visa validity, and whether there is a pathway to permanent residence.

The Department of Small Business has issued the following timetable:

 

Clients with particular concerns about certain occupations are encouraged to become involved in the consultation process. There is an opportunity to request a face to face meeting with the Department, as well as participate in the online submission process. Please discuss your needs with your advisor at Ajuria Lawyers.
