If it seemed extra busy at the airport if you travelled overseas this holiday season, it was!
Passenger numbers between 21 December 2018 and 6 January 2019 exceeded 2.4 million, an increase of 3% on the previous year. The busiest single day was 22 December, with 160,000 passengers passing through our international airports.
Not surprisingly, Sydney was the busiest airport in Australia with over 1 million arrivals and departures during this period.
We hope that those who travelled overseas this holiday season did not experience too much delay and had a wonderful time…..somehow the holidays already feel like a long time ago!
